Curaçao property websites compared: where to find the listings

Which sites show homes from several brokers in Curaçao? We compare RealEstatesCuraçao, CaribbeanHouseHunt, CasaSearch and Merkado.

Editorial · written by RealEstatesCuraçao

Curaçao has no single national property portal, and each broker on the island runs its own website. That is why many house hunters start on a site that brings together the listings of several brokers. There are a few of them now. We run one of them ourselves, RealEstatesCuraçao, so read this comparison with that in mind: we only describe what each site shows about itself, with the date we looked.

International portals

The big Dutch portals, Funda and Pararius, show no homes in Curaçao. International portals such as Properstar carry part of the market, mainly from brokers who advertise there themselves; it is a smaller selection than on the local sites.

What to look for in a property website

  • Freshness: when was a home last checked? On RealEstatesCuraçao that date is shown on every home.
  • The source: can you click through to the broker’s own listing? That listing is leading for price and conditions.
  • Price as published: do you see the price in the broker’s currency, without it being quietly converted or averaged?
  • Sold or rented: is a home only shown as sold when the broker says so?
  • Cost and account: can you search without an account and without paying?

Why we built RealEstatesCuraçao this way

Every night we read the websites of the brokers in Curaçao, show on every home who offers it and link straight to that listing. We do not sell homes ourselves and charge house hunters nothing. Next to the listings we write neighbourhood guides with figures per neighbourhood and market insights per property type and price range. With a free search alert you receive the new homes that match your search every week.
